Syllabus

FAME Writing Lab
Summer 2017
Mr. Krupitzer

Course Description
This workshop will focus on preparing students for the rigor expected in Independent School writing, and ultimately, in life.  Students will participate in literature and historical text based analytical writing, argumentative writing, business writing (resumes, cover letters, etc.), and writing with a guest instructor at the end of the week. Class time will also include open writing time to develop pieces.  Students will have plenty of time to conference with the instructor.  By the end of the week, students will have a working portfolio to take home with them.

Participation
You are expected to come to this workshop prepared (i.e., having done the assignment) and to participate fully in all activities—discussions, group work, etc. Your participation in this workshop should be thoughtful and respectful of others. The freedom to express your own ideas and to question and discuss issues openly is very important in this workshop. Disrespectful behavior in this workshop will not be tolerated.
